If you use Windows and have the need to screenshot just the Runescape game frame:
How to use
Cropper 1.8 to take a screen capture of just the Runescape frame and automatically save it as a file on your computer for later use:
(Quick Note: You will only need to perform all these steps once. This will set-up a way for you to quickly and easily take and save screenshots at the press of a button.)
- Download the Cropper 1.8 program.
- Install the program
- Run the program (It is most likely in Start > All Programs > Fusion8Design > Cropper)
- Right-click on the Cropper icon in the Notification Area (opposite side of the taskbar from your Start menu)
- Click Hide, then repeat previous step, Click Output > PNG, then repeat previous step, Click Options
- In the Output tab, set your Output Location and, optionally, the Output Templates (which determine how the file name will appear)
- In the Capturing tab, make sure "Use Cropper to save Print Screen images." is checked
- You don't need to do anything in the Appearance tab since we have Hidden the program, so, go ahead and click the OK button
- While playing Runescape (the game is active and your mouse is overtop of it), simply press ctrl+alt+PrtSc to automatically save a capture of just the Runescape game as a PNG
- You will only need to make sure the program is running and perform Step 9 from now on
- Optional: I like to make sure Cropper is running every time I turn on my computer by placing a shortcut to the program in my Start > All Programs > Startup folder.
(
Special Note: If you're too lazy to dig around for where you're saving those screenshots, just Right-click on the Cropper icon in the Notification Area (opposite side of the taskbar from your Start menu) and click Browse.)
